Cities and villages of the Golden Ring of Russia allow to get acquainted with the development of ancient Russian architecture, majestic and beautiful churches of 12-13 centuries made of white stone, which are preserved in its original forms, tent-shaped buildings of 16-17 centuries, and great works of architecture and painting schools of Suzdal, Rostov and Yaroslavl.
Any city of the Golden Ring presents its history; some of them, such as Rostov Velikiy and Suzdal are museum themself. Witnesses of this are many surviving to the present day historical monuments: fortresses, churches, monasteries and so on. Only in Pereslavl – Zalesskiy there five monasteries and four of them are surrounded by thick walls.
